I hit a small bump, next thing I know the car wouldn't drive, it kept running but was like the driveshaft came disconnected, was making weird noise when gave gas as if driveshaft was just spinning..

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Iv been told it's the flywheel but it's
an automatic transmission. Would it
go like that while driving if it was the
flywheel /flexplate and are they the
same???

Most likely a broken flexplate. Very slim chance that it could be a broken crankshaft that let go at the rear main journal, but that is a long shot and you would likely have an oil leak.
