Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Running extremely rough. Service Engine light is on. Had an auto parts store
put a code reader on it and it came up cam sensor, crankshaft sensor and
multiple misfire. I replaced the cam sensor, had them check it again and all the
same problems come up on the reader. Whats really going on?

Did you test crankshaft sensor. I would also test pigtails to both for power and signal.

Thanks for your help. By the way, I am a female, on my own and not (as you can probably tell)....not too mechanically inclined. I can pretty much fix basic issues, but this is getting a bit out of my league. Back to my problem...wouldn't my trailblazer not start if I put the cam sensor in wrong ? And on these sensors, the electrical connector that you have to unclip, well should I test those connectors ? Or is that what you mean by testing the pigtails on both the sensors? And are these connectors somehow tied in to the wiring for my headlights and taillights ? Cause I'm having some problems with them as well.
