idles low and then idles up. sometimes it wont start

I would check the fuel pressure. It should be 56 to 63 lbs. Could be a bad fuel pump, fuel regulator, or leaking injectors.

My grandson has a 2012 Chev Silverado and it was making noise, so took it to the dealership, it was the cam and pistons, it is fuel flex and everyone that owns one is having the same problem that has fuel flex vehicle, they repaired it and in two days it's doing it again it's warranty will be out in Aug. It's awful to end up probably buying a new vehicle
