Edmunds.com, a review and spec site, does not list Traction Control as available on a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. It has what they call Electronic brakeforce distribution.. that is a form of Traction control, but is automatic, there would be no driver input, no control. Have a through look through your owners manual. most manufactures make pdf downloads available...I get many of my answers by downloading owners manuals but alas, Hyundai does not.

Like Fordnut said it might be automatic but if it did have ESC(traction control) the switch(labeled as ESC) would be on the left side of the steering wheel on the dashboard or below the heater controls. Good morning Fordnut, how are things?

Rain rain rain. More than 3" overnight. More rain in last 8 hours that last year total. But we are safe and warm ..just about 500 ft higher snow

Thank you both so much. I just bought this for my 16 yr. old Triplets & the owners manuel is not in it. But I read some reviews about turning the TCS off for better traction in the snow plus get good Snow tires which I did. Hoping it will be a good car for them. Much easier on me with school, sports, their jobs, etc.

The reviews you read are not correct. TCS or in Hyundai's case ESC needs to be on in snow. That's what it's for. I live and drive in snow every year for the past 25 plus years. Trust me you want a vehicle with traction control in the on position. Snow tires are a great idea. Just make sure to take them off in the spring. Believe me my wife and I couldn't wait for my kids to get their own cars for the same reasons. Good luck with 3 kids sharing the car.

Wow, must not get a lot of rain the whole year then? I'm in northern Illinois cornfields everywhere. Lots of rain this year, just not wanting the snow we got last year though. NOT GOOD! LOL
