Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Service engine light came on, dealership computer (don't know code) says valve head assembly.  Never had any problem. $3000 to fix, we were told to trade, dealership won't fix just wholesale the car.  Car is super clean inside and outside.  How can this be?

YOu're being quoted at dealership rates which are usually significantly higher than non dealership repair shops. Ask them for a written estimate if possible. Then check out the same repair at a private shop. You'l likely be surprised at the price. It's a new enough car with low miles so its probably worth repairing and keeping but you can probably gt the price of the repair down significantly.
