It keeps going on and off.. Do you think i need coolant?or is it a mechanical issue?
It could be several things. A bad thermostat, water pump, low coolant level, radiator fan not working or a dirty cooling system. First check the coolant level when the car is cool. Your car is old enough that you should replace the radiator hoses, flush the system and install new coolant.
