2008 ford explorer need help

Went to auto zone they said it was the starteran
wires tht lead to the starter to the battery changed
it an cranked up drove it down the road an it just
died what can it be

Is the Check engine light on? Scan for the codes then. Did auto zone test the battery?

Invest in a 15 buck multi-meter. Set it to DC voltage. Jump start the car. Place the red lead from meter on the positive terminal, the black on the other. Read the charging voltage. Should be around 14 volts
