This is not an answer but a question. Has anyone found the answer to this overheating problem? I have a 2007 Pontiac T6 83.00+ miles and mine does the same thing. I've replaced everything mentioned in all these comments.

hello, I just worked on an overheating issue. I checked the fuses, relays, hoses, the fans.all checked ok. I replaced the thermostat and coolant. the problem continue until I replaced the coolant temperature sensor and then the fans kicked in and the gauges dropped the temperature.

I have a 2006 and mine does exactly the same thing so I am definitely hoping the coolant's temperature sensor will correct this so annoying after so much time and money!
