Winter travel in an a 2008 C6 Corvette

Asked by Jeff Nov 13, 2018 at 06:52 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette

Question type: General

I am hoping to drive my 2008 C6 from Wisconsin
to Denver this week, one way, and it looks like the
weather will be somewhat cold and clear (29 to 50
degrees), my question is this; with this car and of
course the stock Goodyear run flats, and of course
short of a blizzard which none is predicted, how
much of a real risk is this? Is it doable? Will the run
flats handle it?

1 Answer

Of course a Corvette can make the drive. although I would not want to take that drive if there was a good chance of snow. Summer tires are not so great in the snow and do loose a bit of traction in the cold. So as long as you do (did) not drive it like you stole it you will be OK.
