can a 2009 pontiac vibe's radio be able to replace my 2008 vibe's radio

you would have to match model numbers or have it side by side to see the jack plug shape,as in one model car year alone is maby 4 or 5 different radio systems,all wired for that unit

The first generation was 2003–2008. The second generation was 2009– 2010. Chances are better if you looked for a radio in the first generation.

I know about the compatible years, thanks...was just kind of hoping that it could be "upgraded" without purchasing a smaller car radio and dealing with the whole kit thing. Nothing is wrong with my current radio, just want to have the newer model, which actually has the aux. capability...Thanks, again! Guess I have to find out where to get the model numbers or move onto another option...
