Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i live in the middle of a lot of road construction and constantly banging my
car around. i scraped a couple of times recently and then made a sharp
turn and heard metal scrapping sound. looked under my car to find a metal
bar hanging from the front of my driver side rear wheel well area. it looks
like i must have lost some sort of panel. the bar pulled out when it was
pulled on. Any idea of what this is? i am worried if i am doing additional
damage before i can get it in the shop.
