What does this mean Engine hot/ a/c off

Could it be a my water pump

Could be. That message will come up when the engine starts to overheat, so the computer disables the AC (air conditioning) to reduce load on the engine as well as stopping heat transfer from the cabin to the engine bay. What it boils down to is your engine is getting too hot for some reason. Inspect the cooling system.
