My 04 silverado is bogging down on take off, while driving n at idle. I replaced the plugs n air filter which were both HORRID. still had the problem. A friend who is a very good mechanic told me the catalytic converters are prob clogged up. Aft removing them they didn't look too bad for what I know. But there was a lot of carbon buildup beyond them. I'm getting my exhaust fixed tomarrow if that's not it what would be your guess. I was able to drive it about 10 miles but at around20-30 mph.

Usally ,if it were a bad caty, your o2 sensor would over load it with gas,and yes stop it up,but that dosen,t sound like your problem,i think i would check the tps sensor,it will do this, my 99 silverado done it,drove me nut,s after replacing every caty and exhasut, and a bunch of sensors, i cleaned throttle body ,and put new tps on ,and still driving.
