Car using Fuel line as ground?

Asked by Glogans Oct 04, 2015 at 12:56 PM about the 1987 Pontiac Fiero

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I jumped my starter today to find out that the car had been using my fuel line
as a ground. No fires... just a really hot line. Any tips on the issue?

Doubtful it was built that way. Good thing is that finding an alternate location to ground should be easy and a little safer.
