I am looking into buying a 1998 land rover discovery sport w/130k . I am not at all formal with this truck , I want to know what some faults are with these trucks. any input would be nice.

Rear windows not functioning is common. Computer board that controls rear windows may need re-soldering or replacement. Cruise control and any drive line slop; condition of U joints & transfer case play. Also test HI/LO transfer case lock and unlock shifter and see if it is functioning properly. Over time some models stick in the lock position.
