rattle around 1700rpm

my 2000 discovery td5 engine is making a loud rattle noise when accelerating or revving
around 1700 to 2000 rpm above or below that sounds ok... Any ideas? I'm baffled...

could be if it snaps but a good mechanic can put new tensioners and chain on in about 3 1/2 hours it is quite a major job but nessesary to maintain a good running engine which will do 100k + there are plenty of enthusiasts and help sites on the web which will recommend a good specialist nr you that wont rip you off regards john j.s autos

many thanks John, Jeep already has 122k miles on it and is a good engine otherwise, i'll get those sorted asap, appreciate your help and speedy reply.
