i am looking at a 1987 Porsche 944s manual with 43000 miles it been sitting out for a while it needs a
fender and a bumper. i need some advice on this. will i have to change all the fluids in the car, is maintenance expensive. is keeping the car expensive. what is the most i should offer. and how much do
these things sell for. i really would love some advice from Porsche experts or people that had a 944 or
just experts

The 944 is at a mileage when they do recommend to replace the timing belt. For normal vehicles though the recommended replacement mileage is around 75K. If the 944 is not a Turbo; then replacement fenders and bumpers are pretty reasonable to acquire. How well does the car look like it was taken care of? If the interior is thrashed and the paint faded, stay away, unless a you are building a purpose built race car, or plan at throwing a lot of money at the car. They are great "drivers" cars, with little in driver aids that today's cars come with.

Just paste porche symbols on whatever 5 speed compact 4cylinder sport sedan with more than 160hp and you have an 80’s 944. Like an old scion. Not hating, cool looking car. Well built for its time period. Tons of information on them by now. Daily driver, you have to look into parts availability. I am having trouble finding parts for an 05 caddy so one would think a 1987 porsche may be hard to source oem parts.
