Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Guage has 4 slash marks,
1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4, 4/4 being
where red hot marks are,
my rendezvous is
fluctuating between 1/4
and 1/2, but sometimes
swings over past 3/4 then
returns to just under 1/2,
are the fans working
properly or should I have a
mechanic look at it and if
so would this be very
expensive?

Perhaps you need a new thermostat or the coolant level is low. Look up how to purge air out of a cooling system.
