Check the BCM (Body Control Module) Are you getting any codes

GEM is a generic electronic module, you don't want to waste your time and money replacing the wrong module. It might be a BCM like Irod mentioned or a GEM. Some modules like the BCM require encoding for VIN, mileage, and possibly antitheft. Sometimes they don't need to be replaced but just reflashed. May want to farm this out to a good shop or the dealership.

Irodr911,has a point, check for code,s,and if there are not any,you may need to start checking for bad wiring that is causing your issue.
