2005 chevy cobalt , 2.2 litertemp. reads hot up to 226 degrees, water in radiator is cold, steam comes out of purge tube, maintains water level, fans work, no loss in engine , replaced parts:water pumpthermostatheater corethermostat housing what is the problem and what do i do?

First of all stop randomly throwing parts at it without doing some proper diagnostics. The only part you haven't addressed is the rad itself, but first take it in and have the system drained and properly flushed. During that process they will be able to diagnose and determine if the rad actually needs replacing or if there is something else at fault. Good luck. Let us know what you find.
