when driving during the day dash lights wont go on and at night they are very dim

You probably accidentally dimmed the dash lights.

A little late I know, but mine has the same issue. The dashboards in these are awful, and it's around $1000 for a repair job. Hopefully you managed to get rid of yours or found a fix.
