ABS speed sensor testing

Asked by kpaterson3206 Feb 24, 2010 at 10:33 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My abs turns on at 10mph, I think it might be one of the front sensors. Does anyone know the resistance and ac volts  the sensor should be at.

Has anyone given you info about this? I'm hoping to get more details. I want to purchase online, but I need more info. I found this one-- http://www.carpartswholesale.com/cpw/abs_speed_sensor.html

Disconnect the ABS sensor at the connector. Measure the two pins with a volt - ohm meter. It should read between 800 ohms and 2500 ohms or 0.8 k ohms and 2.5k ohms. If the sensor reads open (very high ohms)or it it reads zero ohms (short) the sensor is no good and needs to be replace Photo shows open or very high resistance. Short will read 0.0 ohms
