Clicking sound

Asked by Jobo1964 Aug 01, 2016 at 09:16 AM about the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My glove box makes a clicking sound when I turn
on engine. It did that for a while last year but
stopped. Now it is doing it again. It will do it for a
few seconds, then stop. That's the only time it will
do it.

I'm having that same issue with others added ontop. the clicking sounds like its the manual shift lock engaging and disengaging. Why it's happening I'm not sure. If i find something I'll definitely pop back into here. Any ideas would be great from anyone though.
