My Nissan truck dash indicator show the 4X4 is working but the front wheels are not engaged and working ?

Do you have lockout hubs if so you have to turn the hubs to lock before they will engage

I have lockout hubs and they are in the locked position and the shifter is in 4 wheel drive position and the dash indicator shows its in 4 wheel drive but the front tires are not engaged ??

My front hubs are in lock position, the 4x4 gearlevel in e.g. 4H, the 4x4 shafts are moving as if in 4or mode but front wheels don't respond accordingly.
