The dash security light stays on, the car will not start. Is this a security lock out and what might the solution be ? If I pull the fuse on the security system the car will start.

I have heard that if you close the door with the handle up, this might not occur. If you do shut the door,open it with the key and it should reset.

unplug the hood ajar switch and see if the light goes off

Unplugged hood ajar switch and light stopped flashing when the key was turned on and engine started
