Im looking for roof racks for my husband and know little. Do all volvo 240 coupes 4 door have rain gutters? Where can i find used racks that will fit ? How about the fairing?

Yep. They all have rain gutters, and those gutters are very strong. I have placed unimaginable loads on the gutters and they've held up just fine.
Most generic roof racks that attach to gutters will work; just make sure they are big enough to go across the roof. And when you've got them installed, note which one goes in front and which to the rear as the sizes are just slightly different.
