STARTER & ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2007 GMC Sierra Denali AUTOMOBILES Starter, Replace Vehicle: 2007 GMC Sierra Denali Classic 6.0 V8 GAS 1.Disconnect battery ground cable. 2.Raise and support vehicle. 3.On models equipped with skid plate, remove skid plate mounting bolts and skid plate. 4.On all models, remove front transmission cover bolt. 5.Remove starter motor mounting bolts. 6.Disconnect engine wiring harness electrical connector from oil level sensor. 7.Slide starter forward until it clears transmission, then properly support starter. Avoid cable and wiring damage. DO NOT suspend starter by cables or wires attached to solenoid terminals. Use a rope or mechanics wire to suspend starter. 8.Lower vehicle half way. 9.Remove right front ...
