Here's an example of one in very good condition: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1231940 I've seen these go for as low as $2500 and up to $10K...it all depends on the condition, originality, and geographic location. Check out thesamba.com and Ebay for other similar vehicles and go from there. If I were you, I would take anything less than $5K. The real selling point for yours is the low miles.

I think my analysis still stands up there...I picked examples that were hard tops not convertibles. If you are serious about selling, you should contact your local air cooled VW club and start a dialog with them. They can point out things on the car that may need attention prior to selling as well as connect you with likely buyers.
