Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi. Im Deirdra. Mom to 4. I need help fixing my 71 super
beetle. It had a small engine fire. When we bought it there
was a plastic fuel filter. It must have vibrated to close to the
block and ignited. The engine was covered in a fore retardant.
But it has sense been cleaned.

The carborater has been replaced, as has the starter. The coil
is new too. The fuel filter is now metal. New fuel line. New
wiring.
