My good friend has a VW restoration business in Asheville, NC. He does complete restorations for the enthusiast as well as collector. Tom is a second generation auto restorer that puts quality parts and paints on his projects. He works on a little collision stuff too. He also has a partner at a different shop with the same name "Asheville VeeDub" who does mechanical work on them. The down side is that like all good restoration shops he is constantly working on a back log and he may not fit you in right away but you should call him. Drive/trailer your car to him 60 miles away and a fair start deposit will get you in line for a lifetime restoration if that 's what you want or he can work out how far you want to go etc...Call Tom (828)628-3778.
