1969 shift 3rd down to 2nd

I have a rebuilt tranny from a 69 bug in my
dunbuggy. It was shifting fine until I went
on a trip 1.5hrs away on the highway. Now
today I can’t shift from 3rd down to 2nd
gear when going into a corner. I’m hoping
there is something I can do to fix this down
shifting to 2nd gear is one of the reasons I
swapped the old one out. Just a note in
the way home from the trip it downshifted
fine.

If it continues to be a problem.. the trans have a warranty ? If so l would use the warranty.
