I got a 1969 VW beetle, and I just painted it, so i removed all the locks and latches. Well just yesterday my friend slammed shut the front hood and now i cant open it. The latch in the glove hasn't been connected since i bought it so that wont work. Anyone know how to open it?

Assuming the hood latch is installed, spare tire not in it's front well, you can insert and long bar into the access hole in the spare tire well that is just in front of the front axle beam and move the locking lever to unlock. If that doesn't work, you can cut the front locking handle into and sometimes unscrew the handle pieces to release the latch. Hope this helps.
