Trunk release

Asked by GuruD25T2 Sep 16, 2017 at 09:33 PM about the 1968 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: General

My husband bought be a 1968 vw beetle.  It's in good condition but has a couple
of "issues" I can't seem to figure out. I've tried to locate an owners manual with no
luck. First issue is....the trunk won't open Hubby had it open once and now can't
open it.  The wipers barely move...is this normal?  The seat belts are "hideous".
I was driving it the other day and the bolt that held it in to the side of the car just
fell out!!?  Another issue is that right turn signal doesn't work.... not sure where to
find the fuse?  Thinking it might be in the trunk (boot) that I can't open! Thanks

Fuse box under dash under steering wheel area. Wipers should move normal. Motor may be worn.....To open trunk use release in glovebox or drivers side left under dash! Pull cable towards you to open.
