Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Im looking for what the value of my 60 beetle might be worth? It has unique features such as a spare gas reserve, no turn signals on fenders, only on door jams, and has oversized headlights. Any info on this german 60 wolfsburg would be appreciated. Thanks

there wasn't a wolfsburg edition. all 60 beetles had the wolfsburg emblem on the hood. that said, the 60 beetles all had the spare gas reserve, and no fuel gauge. that's normal stuff. now having no turn signals on the fenders and having them on the door jams is nice. they are called semiphores and were on the european models. i'm not really sure what you mean by "oversized headlights" but if your talking about the headlights being resessed into the fenders with glass covers over them, that is stock! price wise is a guess without detailed pictures. rust is the enemy. the more rust, the lower the price. also location plays a HUGE part in pricing of these cars. california will be cheaper than the east coast, and the east coast is usually cheaper than the middle of the US. this is due to the larger quantities of cars in california. more to choose from the price goes down. a good 60 model can be anywhere from $500- $2500. if it's really nice (very little rust, driving, everything works) $2500-$4000. if it's really nice, very good quality (no rust, driving, mostly restored) $4000-$7500. show quality and they go up even more!
