rear light doesn;t work except for running light, any ideas on why?

right rear light is having an issue with directional and break but running light is Ok. appreciate any ideas or thiughts on how to correct

replace the bulbe and check the ground on that side.

bulb is ok, it actually works when put into left tail light. Will check the ground but isn't the same ground used for the running light?
