my 2007 charger got into water replaced the starter and relay now when it starts it has a loud ping or knocking please help

think maybe there is a slight difference in casting sizes from the old to the new...I'd double check those part numbers and dimensions (if this data is available to you)~ possibly should have checked them against one another~

frustrating when you get the guaranteed rebuild...install it and turns out to be a dud...."sunshine" rebuilds are ones to watch out for~
