What could make the engine cut out, wont get above 2500 RPM. The timing is spot on.New fuel pump and filter.No cat converter, no smog pump.

It runs good at in town speeds and just idleing. Its when you try to get it up to highway speed that it wants to cut out and backfire thru the carb.

your timing may be too advanced, if it has a vacuum advance try inpluging it and drive around. I would still check the timing.

mine is a 2004 4,7l and it cut out at 2500 rpm sometime he is ok sometime he cut out all day long ??
