i have a 2007 dodge nitro and the shifter lever will not go into drive ?

Just put your foot on the brake and yank on it real hard. It will make a loud noise but it will go into gear. The newer Dodges do that for some reason. Next time you change your oil, I would lube the shifting mechanism.

I know on my charger I couldnt get in there to lube it until I broke it into drive, or down into the self shift.
