what will stop the car from starting. turns over but won't start

had plugs changed about a year ago. the car had just been driven to Bellevue with no problems. then I turned it on and drove to the end of the lot at the gas station. while waiting to pull out on the road it died and wouldn't start back up

no but maintenance required comes on and have never seen before
