Best 1970's Muscle Car to Purchase?!?!? advice please :)

Asked by stokedyanky Apr 13, 2007 at 02:38 PM about the 1973 Dodge Challenger

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

i'm looking to buy a 1970s muscle (or mini-muscle) car. looking for one with a nice amount of power(for daily driver) so gas mileage does concern me a bit. Not looking for 10mpg racecar to sit in my garage.  If you have any suggestions on models to look at it would be of great help. thanks!

-interested in challengers,chargers,novas,camaros,mustangs.
(have found some really good deals, but do not know a whole lot about these cars)

There arent many mini muscle cars from the 1970's. The mustang fastbacks, camaro's, challengers were all lead sleds, and not very efficient. The mustang fastback is my favorite, and with a 302 offered vs the chevy 350, better on fuel, with ample power. They are also more rare
