Defogger light on Mercedes Benz E230 with 210 body model 1994

Defogger light on my M Benz E230 with 210 body model 1994 does not go off
when engine is turned off.  It is draining my battery after several days of not
using the car.

The light turns on when the defogger relay is activated, so most likely the relay is stuck closed cause the activation circuit is powered through the ignition circuits.
