Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car is a '98 w202 c240 sport.  it seems to not like hot weather, or starting when the engine is warm.  i'm wondering if there is a solution to this problem, and what the problem could be?  also i've been told something about a crank shaft sensor or distributor cap problem, however i cant seem to fins a distributor cap either?!  before i start ripping the car apart i'd just like some guidance on where to start please?

thanks

Pete

It could be the ignition module which is located underneath where the plug wires start. It's probably not a distributor cap anymore. It could also be starter fade.
