99 Mercedes-Benz e320. Ran out of gas. Put
few gals. Didn't start. Sat overnight then
started right up. Added fuel injector and lots
more gas. Ran a few blocks then died..

Try replacing the fuel filter. Make sure the fuel pump is running. If it is you should hear a faint hum coming from the gas tank.
