I bought
replacement key eis
els and ecu off eBay
for 2002 clk 230
after fitting car
started however
second time i tried
ignition comes on
but wont turn over
does ecu need
reprogramming ?

Key must be programmed to start the auto.

The key I'm using came with ecu esl and eis as a set from same vehicle so presumed problem was from ecu to the car but I'm no technician so will get key reprogrammed and post result thanks

These components are programmed with a vehicle's VIN, so they must be done at an MB dealer. Be prepared for a lot of paperwork
