my E270 CDI 2003 model has a wiper problem. They work until I use the windscreen wash, then they don't wipe again until I switch off the engine and restart it. Any ideas why ? Thanks

sounds as if you have a short within the wiper/wash contol switch. Try unplugging the washer motor and see what happens, if no change, remove the washer pump fuse, if no change you have just illiminated the washer pump and wiring and therefore the switch is looking more likely at fault.
