Question type: Maintenance & Repair

But it's FI, sometimes it will
barely hit then die, it's as if it's
not getting fuel at start up, but
runs good once started. It will
get a little sluggish at times. Is it
the fuel/air mixture or filter or
other problems?

I own the same car mine is doing the same thing and I replaced the front O 2 sensor (oxygen sensor) and now I want to go ahead and replace the back one also which I believe is the problem but the owner before me just replaced the timing belt and I was told they did not set the timing exact which i was wanting them to correct this which might add also to the problem mentioned also Im changing the thermostat. I've learned the timing off is effecting also my firing of my spark plugs. Research my findings.

Hi. I had the same problem as well. I suggest you try to clean the fuel pressure regulator filter. The fuel pressure regulator has a small, circle in shape, filter. So sometimes it get dirty. Mine was giving me the same problem, i changed the regulator and realised the old one was okay except the fact that it was very dirty and couldnt pass enough fuel.
