Dear superman-- Your local newspaper used to be the best place to sell your used car, but now the Internet has taken over. You can use Autotrader.com or Cars.com and gain exposure to millions of potential buyers for your 1981 Ford Mustang. I also have had great results by using Craigslist.com, the emerging powerhouse for anything you are trying to sell. You might even try EBay. In each case, make sure to include numerous good pictures of your car. Even take pictures of the dings and scratches as it tells the buyer that you have nothing to hide. I hope that helps. Good luck from Bovan.
