I have a 2000 VW Beetle, and the seat is locked all the way back and it won't move. What could be the problem, and how can I fix it?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At first it wouldn't lock into place, the seat would just move. Now it's locked, and it won't
move at all.

I had to take my seats out and lube it up when that happened to mine. I had to take out the seat cuz i couldnt get the grease to the right spot with it in the car. Mine has worked fine ever since
