epc light

Hi my epc light has come on in my golf gti 2000 mk4 and now the engine will not start it wont even turn over all lights come on then the epc light stays on can anyone help me

Usually down to the Crank shaft sensor. Fairly common problem. I know it normally causes stalling and higher tick over (around 1100rpm) have u had this problem to?
