Brake Light

Asked by Griffith_752 Feb 25, 2017 at 07:52 AM about the 2002 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 2002 VW Jetta 2L. It has 2 brake lights (apart from the ABS light),
one red and one orange. The orange one comes one with ignition and stays
on all the time while all others go off after start. The dash display says " check
disk pads". I have replaced the rear pads (although they did not needed) and
checked the front. No problem with the pads. What else can it be? Thanks.

It sounds like you have brake pads that have sensors in them so I would probably replace the front pads that way you would eliminate any issues with wires/connections for the pad sensors. .
